About Jeanette

Dr. Jeanette Patterson is the Executive Director of Lincoln Hills Cares, where she leads with a simple guiding belief: she was created on purpose and for a purpose. After retiring from a distinguished 29-year career in K–12 public education as a teacher, principal, and central office administrator, Jeanette continues her lifelong commitment to service through nonprofit leadership and community impact.

At Lincoln Hills Cares, Jeanette advances work at the intersection of education, cultural preservation, and environmental stewardship. She has developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors and its power to educate, heal, and connect people across generations—particularly those historically excluded from outdoor spaces. Her leadership focuses on expanding access, strengthening community partnerships, and honoring the legacy of Lincoln Hills as a place of resilience and belonging.

Outside of her professional role, Jeanette enjoys cooking, reading, long walks, and spending meaningful time with her family and church community. She has been an active member of Shorter Community AME Church for more than 35 years and has served on numerous church and civic boards, including Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. She is also a graduate of the Executive Directors of Color Institute through the BRIC Foundation.

Jeanette is married to Dr. Jeriod Patterson, and together they are the proud parents of one adult child, Seantay. She holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and continues to lead with purpose, vision, and heart.
